Hard to pronounce, easy to have fun: the Starzlachklamm is our advanced entry trip: more spectactular than the Ostertal, but also more demanding... Depending on the water level, this trip can be everything from a great afternoon jumping through the gorge to a very challenging whitewater-trip. But be sure: our guides are perfectly trained and the canyon is their backyard! So don't be afraid - if you ain't no chicken and can handle three hours of light physical activity this trip will be a pure pleasure!
The meeting-point for this trip is our base which is only a few hundred metres away from the gorge... We will change into our gear and then hop in our cars (no transport provided but usually never a problem for single participants to hitch a ride with others) and drive to the starting point. Unluckily we can only access the bottom of the gorge and need to hike up for around 20 Minutes.
But then to make up for it the hike is very scenic and usually you have to pay 3.50 euros to be allowed to use the exposed path along the gorgewalls. Of course this is already included in our trip as well as the special shoes which you will be very grateful for on the slippery rock. As you see other groups you might notice that they do not have this comfort though sometimes paying more money...
Reaching the top end of the gorge we will do our safety briefing and demonstration of abseiling before the kickstart in a very challenging first abseil. Our guide will decide wether the hammering water might on that day be just a little bit too much and softer entry one cascade below might be chosen.
After three thrilling ours the trip ends with a fantastic highlight: the famous Starzlach-Slide which can be done in various ways - each of them unforgettable ;)
